Oregon's Enigmatic Black History At The Oregon Historical Society
EV's book group read The Warmth of Other Suns in May. It is the story of The Great Migration. We decided to learn more about Oregon's own troubled past in relation to its African American citizens. James Stanley Harrison is professor emeritus at Portland Community College. His lecture will be focused on Oregon's history in relation to its black community. The lecture is free and open to the public. Please join book clubbers for this informative lecture. Here is the link: https://www.ohs.org/events/oregons-enigmatic-black-history.cfm
