Join fellow East Side Villagers at a community cleanup event sponsored by the Central Eastside Industrial Council. We have secured a spot as a team in their Earth Day event.
Teams will be meeting at Subaru of Portland, 107 SE Grand Ave. The event begins at 9 a.m. and lasts till 2 p.m., but we have secured the OK to participate between 10 and noon for the convenience of our members. (Feel free to join outside that two-hour window if it’s better for you.)
SOLVE of Oregon will direct us on where to concentrate our pickup efforts. SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, high-visibility vests, bags, and gloves. Feel free to bring your own equipment if you prefer. SOLVE recommends wearing a backpack so you can keep your hands free, and also bringing your own reusable water bottle. Subaru of Portland will provide coffee and donuts before the event.
Street parking is available, and the location is accessible on TriMet bus lines 6, 12, 19. SOLVE reports that the area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns. Please wear close-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Restrooms are available at the car dealership.
Meet up with your friends and enjoy sprucing up a part of the East side!
Bikers (we‘re coed) meet at one location and take various rides throughout the city. Coffee stops included. Please register on the calendar or by calling the office so we know to wait for you at the meeting place. If you are interested in joining this fun group, contact Lucien Dallaire @ 860-9083-6445 or email: dallaire.lucien@yahoo.com
